Field Tech Toolkit

Seismic station installers set up, calibrate, test, and maintain the equipment that monitors seismic activity. They are crucial to earthquake monitoring and research, and contribute significantly to public safety and the scientific understanding of earthquake events.

Importantly, ShakeAlert Field Technicians are also “earth science/public safety ambassadors” who keep station hosts informed about the equipment on their properties, often using the resources available in this Field Tech Toolkit.
